Overture filament specs: data sheets, Specs tabs and where they disagree
Short answer
Each Overture product page links a two-page technical data sheet with nozzle, bed and speed ranges, density, a Vicat softening point and X-Y and Z tensile results from specimens printed at 100% infill [1]. None of the sheets gives a heat deflection temperature or a maximum volumetric speed. Most 2024 sheets also leave out drying; that setting sits in each page's Specs tab, for example 50 °C for 7 hours for PLA [2].

What each product page links
Every Overture filament page has a Specs tab and a Data Download block. The Specs tab lists nozzle temperature, bed temperature, print speed, cooling fan state and a drying setting, plus four headline mechanical figures [2]. The download block links an SDS, the TDS, a zipped slicer profile and compliance documents such as RoHS, REACH and, for some PLA lines, an EN71-3 report [10].
Most of the sheets used here are Version 5.1 from mid-2024. Two are newer: PLA+ is Version 5.2 from January 2026 and PETG is Version 5.2 from December 2025 [3, 15]. The Version 5.2 layout adds a drying row and Z-direction values for modulus, elongation and bending strength.
Test methods and specimens
Each sheet says its specimens were printed at 100% infill with a 0.4 mm nozzle and conditioned at room temperature for 24 hours before testing [1]. Methods are given as paired ISO and Chinese GB/T standards: ISO 1183 for density, ISO 306 for Vicat softening, ISO 527 for tensile, ISO 178 for bending and ISO 179 for Charpy impact [17]. The print settings behind the specimens are stated too, for example a 205 °C nozzle, 60 mm/s and a 40 °C bed for PLA [1].
Two sheets split their data. Easy Nylon has dry and wet tables, with X-Y tensile strength falling from 71.3 MPa dry to 26.3 MPa wet [25]. PC Professional has one table for transparent filament and one for other colors; transparent PC lists 70.2 MPa X-Y tensile against 49.8 MPa for the colored version [23].
Layer strength across the line
Because the sheets give both X-Y and Z tensile strength, they show how much strength each material keeps across layers. PETG keeps 45.7 of 47.9 MPa in Z, about 95% [15]. Standard PLA keeps 38.9 of 47.1 MPa, about 83% [1]. Silk PLA has the highest X-Y value of the PLA sheets at 55.2 MPa but only 18.9 MPa in Z [11], and Matte PLA drops from 20.9 to 10.9 MPa [9].
The “Layer Adhesion” figure in a Specs tab is the TDS Z tensile value under another name: 38.9 MPa for PLA and 37.3 MPa for PLA+ [2, 4]. Notched Charpy impact separates the tougher PLA grades: 36.6 kJ/m² for Super PLA+ and 12.8 kJ/m² for PLA Pro, against 3.1 kJ/m² for standard PLA [5, 7, 1].
Heat resistance
No Overture sheet lists a heat deflection temperature. The only heat figure is the Vicat softening point, which runs from 61 °C (PLA+) to 64.2 °C (PLA) across the PLA grades [3, 1]. PETG lists 75 °C, ABS 103.4 °C and ASA 106.2 °C [15, 17, 19]. PC Professional lists 110.3 °C for colored filament and 115.3 °C for transparent [23], and Easy Nylon 181.2 °C [25]. Vicat and HDT are different tests, so compare these values with other brands’ Vicat figures on the heat resistance chart rather than with HDT. The ABS product description claims heat deflection up to 98 °C but names no load or method [18].
Drying and speed settings
Most 2024 sheets have no drying row, so the database takes drying from the Specs tab: 50 °C for 7 hours for the PLA grades, 75 °C for 7 hours for ABS, ASA and PC Professional, and 95 °C for 7 hours for Easy Nylon [2, 18, 20, 24, 26]. Three sheets include it: 60 °C for 5 hours for PETG, 55 °C for 6 hours for PLA+ and 70 °C for 8 hours for TPU 2.0 [15, 3, 21]. The PETG page warns that drying past the recommended time can make the filament brittle [16]. The drying planner takes these settings.
Print speed ranges run from 30–50 mm/s for ASA and PC Professional to below 300 mm/s for PLA+ and PETG [19, 23, 3, 15]. Overture publishes no volumetric flow limit, so a max volumetric speed test is the way to find one for a given hotend.
Where pages and data sheets disagree
The database uses the TDS value when the two sources conflict:
- PLA: the page is titled High Speed PLA and shows up to 300 mm/s, but the TDS it links lists 40–70 mm/s [2, 1].
- PLA+: the Specs tab lists a 25–26 °C bed and 50 °C drying for 7 hours; the TDS gives 25–60 °C and 55 °C for 6 hours [4, 3].
- TPU 95A: the Specs tab shows a 35–50 °C bed and under 250 mm/s; the linked TDS, titled TPU 2.0, gives 25–60 °C and under 200 mm/s [22, 21].
- ABS: the description recommends 230–250 °C and a 90–110 °C bed; the TDS and Specs tab give 245–265 °C and 80–100 °C [18, 17].
- PC Professional: the description gives an 80–100 °C bed and 80 °C drying for 4–6 hours; the TDS lists a 90–105 °C bed [24, 23].
- Silk PLA: the description says 190–230 °C with no heated bed; the TDS lists 200–220 °C and a 50–60 °C bed [12, 11].
Some specimen conditions also fall outside the recommended ranges on the same sheet. The ABS sheet records test prints at a 205 °C nozzle and 40 °C bed [17], and the PLA+ sheet at 240 °C and 80 °C [3]. Read those mechanical results as indicative, and set the nozzle for a given spool with a temperature tower.
