Bambu Lab filament data sheets: temperatures, drying and test values
Short answer
Bambu Lab publishes a technical data sheet for each filament with nozzle and bed ranges, drying settings, density (ISO 1183), Vicat softening (ISO 306), heat deflection at 0.45 and 1.8 MPa (ISO 75) and tensile strength (ISO 527) from printed XY and Z specimens [4]. Max volumetric speed is not in the sheets; a few product pages list it [19]. The Bambu Lab Wiki adds per-plate bed temperatures and AMS drying settings [23, 22].

What each data sheet contains
Every Bambu Lab TDS uses the same layout: specifications (diameter, net weight, spool material and its heat rating), recommended printing settings, physical and mechanical properties, chemical resistance, and the settings used to print the test specimens [4].
Test methods are named, most with a Chinese GB/T equivalent: ISO 1183 for density, ISO 306 for Vicat softening, ISO 75 for heat deflection at 1.8 and 0.45 MPa, ISO 527 for tensile, ISO 178 for bending and ISO 179 for impact [12].
Printed specimens, tested in two directions
The mechanical numbers come from printed parts. PLA Basic specimens were printed at 220 °C on a 35 °C bed at 200 mm/s and 100% infill, then annealed and dried at 55 °C for 8 hours before testing [4].
Each mechanical property is reported for XY (along the layers) and Z (across layers). Tensile strength is 35 MPa XY against 31 MPa Z for PLA Basic, 34.9 against 20.9 MPa for PLA Tough+, and 92 against 47 MPa for PAHT-CF [7, 15]. Bambu describes the values as for design reference and comparison only [4].
The PAHT-CF sheet labels its mechanical data as dry state [15]; its product page shows XY bending strength dropping from 125 MPa dry to 115 MPa wet, against 128 to 76 MPa for a standard PA6-CF [3].
Heat resistance across the line
At 0.45 MPa the sheets list HDT values of 57 °C for PLA Basic, 61 °C for PLA Tough+, 71 °C for PETG Basic, 87 °C for ABS, 100 °C for ASA and 194 °C for PAHT-CF [4, 7, 9, 12, 13, 15]. TPU 95A HF, Support for PLA/PETG and PVA list HDT and Vicat as not applicable [14, 17, 18].
The PC sheet is the outlier: 112 °C at 0.45 MPa and 117 °C at 1.8 MPa, while every other sheet here reports the lower value at the heavier load [16]. The comparison table on the ASA product page puts PC at 117 °C at 0.45 MPa, which suggests the two PC rows are swapped [21]. See the heat resistance comparison for other brands.
Drying: TDS, wiki and AMS settings
The sheets name a forced-air (blast) drying oven as the main method: 50 °C for 8 hours for PLA Basic, 65 °C for PETG Basic, 80 °C for ASA, and 80 °C for 8 to 12 hours for PAHT-CF [4, 9, 13, 15]. Most add a 12-hour heated-bed option on X1 Series printers and rule out microwave and kitchen ovens [12].
The wiki’s drying table gives oven ranges where the sheets give one value (ABS and ASA at 75 to 85 °C) and adds AMS settings [22]. It rates the AMS 2 Pro for filaments that dry at 65 °C or below and marks ABS, ASA, PC, PVA and nylons as not compatible with it. The PLA Tough+ sheet sets AMS drying at 55 °C for 8 hours, while the wiki’s PLA Basic/Matte row says 45 °C for 12 hours [7].
The sheets call for storage below 20% RH in a sealed container with desiccant [12]. According to the wiki, freshly dried filament at about 55% RH can pick up enough moisture to affect prints within 2 to 12 hours, and nylon left in open air for about three months becomes very hard to dry at 80 to 90 °C [22]. Compare brands on the drying chart or plan a run with the drying planner.
Safety: the wiki advises gloves when flipping a spool on a hot bed, and the PLA Basic product page asks for ventilation or air filtration while printing [22, 1].
Temperatures: one range or per plate
Each sheet gives one bed range for a list of plates. The wiki splits it by plate, for example PLA at 35 to 45 °C on the Cool Plate and 45 to 65 °C on the Engineering, Smooth PEI and Textured PEI plates [23]. Some ranges differ: the wiki lists 100 to 120 °C for PC and PAHT-CF, where the sheets list 90 to 110 °C and 80 to 100 °C [16, 15]. Wiki nozzle ranges are per material type with a ±10 °C margin, and its PVA range (190 to 240 °C) differs from the PVA sheet (220 to 250 °C) [23, 18]. The temperature chart covers other brands.
Speed and flow figures
The TDS print speed is a ceiling: below 300 mm/s for PLA Basic, 200 mm/s for PETG Basic and 100 mm/s for PAHT-CF [4, 9, 15]. Max volumetric speed appears only on product pages. The High Flow Hotend page lists 24, 28 and 24 mm³/s for PLA Basic, PLA Matte and PETG HF on the standard 0.4 mm hotend, and 40, 48 and 32 mm³/s on the 0.4 mm high-flow version [19]. The TPU 95A HF page gives 12 mm³/s at 230 °C, against 3.6 mm³/s for standard Bambu TPU 95A [20].
Spools and packaging
All 15 products are 1.75 mm, with a stated tolerance of ±0.03 mm for PLA Basic and ±0.05 mm for Support for PLA/PETG [1, 2]. Spools measure 200 mm across and 67 mm high. Filaments that dry at 65 °C or below ship on an ABS spool rated to 70 °C; ABS, ASA, PC, PAHT-CF, TPU 95A HF, PVA and Support for PLA/PETG use a PC+ABS spool rated to 90 °C [4, 13]. PVA and Support for PLA/PETG come on 0.5 kg spools [18, 17].
